| Members of West Harrison Fire Department recently spent a weekend up at the New York State Fire Academy in Montour Falls taking a variety of exams to obtain National certifications. To receive these National Certifications Firefighters must pass a practical skills test and a written exam. Ex-Captain Matthew Fitzgerald took his Fire Officer 1 National Certification. Firefighters Joe Jimenez, Mike Pellegrino and Junior Firefighter Doug Harrison took National Certification exams in Firefighter 1 and Hazardous Materials First Responder Operations. Acquiring these exams not only build member competence but also shows how dedicated our members are in furthering their education to better protect the citizens of the Town Of Harrison. |
