On Saturday September 17th the West Harrison Fire Department hosted a hands on training session in conjunction with North East Squad Concepts at our own training facility. Members were able to practice everyday skills used on the fireground such as forcible entry, Vent enter search, ground ladders and hose line deployment. Also in attendance was the Port chester fire department, Village Of Mamaroneck Fire Department, Harrison Fire Department. Earlier in the week North East Squad Concepts presented a PowerPoint lecture on “overcoming common engine company mistakes”, this hands on training gave members the opportunity to took what they learned from the PowerPoint and apply it to a real life scenario. We would like to thank North East Squad Concept for coming down and teaching this class and thank you for all attending mutual aid departments always a pleasure working together.
